Tired of training repetitive skills? Finished all the quests (or all the ones you feel like doing)? Just looking for something to do to fill in time? Then the Achievement Diary is for you!

Recently introduced by Jagex as an alternative to quests which give players a reason to explore areas of RuneScape they might not travel to in their day-to-day routine, the Achievement Diary aims to show players things about the game they might never have found out. Rewards are obtained by completing the set tasks which are grouped as Easy, Medium and Hard. These rewards can range from unlocking new areas, to possibly obtaining special items or experience.

Though currently in its early stages, with only Karamja and Varrock included, the Achievement Diary holds much promise and could prove to be a very enjoyable and informative addition to the game. To take a common saying, the Achievement Diary makes learning fun!.

Note: To access your Achievement Diary, complete with progress reports, click on the Quest Menu icon ingame. At the top right of the Quest List will be a small green icon, which looks similar to the Quest Icon. (Picture). Click on this to swap your Quest List for the Achievement Diary. (Picture). Click on the Icon again (it will have changed to blue), to swap back to your Quest List.

You get two items per completion of each set of tasks. The easy tasks give a 1,000 xp lamp and Karamja Gloves 1. The medium tasks give a 5,000 xp lamp and Karamja Gloves 2. The hard tasks give a 10,000 xp lamp and Karamja Gloves 3. The rewards for the gloves all build on the previous set. These gloves can be obtained from Pirate Jackie the Fruit after finishing all the tasks in a certain level. They will be replaced free of charge, should you lose them.

• Karamja Gloves 1 reward you with better buying/selling prices in shops all around Karamja (including traders in the TzHaar city) plus half-price boat trips to and from Brimhaven and Musa Point docks.
• Karamja Gloves 2, in addition to Gloves 1's abilities, gives you increased Agility experience from the Brimhaven Agility Arena.
• Karamja Gloves 3, in addition to gloves 2's abilities, allows you to access a gem mine beneath Shilo Village and you can 'Operate' the gloves to teleport to this new gem mine. The Gloves have unlimited charges, so you can teleport to the mine as much as you want.

Note: To get Karamja Gloves 2 you must have Karamja Gloves 1 (complete easy tasks). Similarly, to get Karamja Gloves 3 you must have Karamja Gloves 1 (complete easy tasks) and Karamja Gloves 2 (complete medium tasks).
