Gertrude's cat has been missing for some time now - for her piece of mind her prized pet must be rescued. Handling cats isn't an easy business. They get hungry and need plenty of attention but if you're the pet type, then this is the quest for you!

Part 1:
A Lost Pussy!

Step 1
Talk to Gertrude, west Varrock.
Talk to Shilop, Varrock center.
Talk to Wilough.
Pay them 100gp.
Go to lumberyard, NE of Varrock.
Climb ladder and look for Fluffs.

Items needed: Bring them all.

Talk to Gertrude and she will say that she has lost her cat, Fluffs. If you agree to help her find it, she will tell you that Shilop and Wilough saw the cat last. Before leaving, grab some doogle leaves from the ground behind Gertrude's house. Zybez RuneScape Help's Animation of Gertrude and Doogle Leaves Go east to the Varrock marketplace and talk to either Shilop or Wilough (Picture). After saying that they stole something, the other child will say that Fluffs followed them to their secret play area. If you ask where this place is they won't tell you because then it wouldn't be a secret.

Ask him what would make them tell you, and he will say 10 coins. However, the child you originally talked to will object, and ask for 100 coins instead. When you pay him (Picture), he will tell you that the secret play area is the lumberyard near the Jolly Boar Inn.

Find the Lumberyard and climb over the broken fence on the south end. Go up the ladder and you will see Gertrude's cat (Picture), Fluffs. If you try to pick up the cat, it will hiss (Picture).

Step 2
Give Fluffs milk, seasoned sardine (doogle leaf + sardine).
Find Fluffs' kittens and release them.
Talk to Gertrude.

Zybez RuneScape Help's Screenshot of Both Cats If you don't have any already get a bucket of milk and use it on Fluffs who will then meow in affection. If you try to pick up Fluffs again, she will hiss. This time she is hungry. If you go back and talk to Gertrude you will find out that Fluffs likes Doogle sardines. To make one, rub the doogle leaves you collected before on a raw sardine. The result will be a 'seasoned sardine'.

Go back to the Lumberyard, over the fence and up the ladder to Fluffs. Use your seasoned sardine on Gertrude's cat and she will again meow. If you try to pick her up again she will hiss then scratch you again. This time you will hear kittens meowing in the background (Picture).

Search around you Lumberyard until you find a crate or barrel that has a meow coming from it. Search the crate and you will find a kitten (Picture - Picture). If you are unable to find the kittens search all the crates and barrels. If you still can't find them, talk to Gertrude then go search for the kittens again. Go use the kitten on Fluffs and they will run off together.

Go back to Gertrude, and she will thank you for saving Fluffs and her kittens (Picture). She will say that the kitten needs a home because she cannot take care of any more cats so she will give it to you.

Q: What can I do with my Kitten?

A: If you feed it and stroke it for long enough, it will grow into a fully grown 'Cat'. You can trade it to a "civilian" in West Ardougne for 100 death runes. Also, if your cat catches 100 mice, you will be able to get a 'Cat Training Medal' from Gertrude. You can also take your cats to the Rat Pits to train them in catching rats.

Q: Where can I get another kitten?

A: Speak to Gertrude and ask for another kitten. It will cost 100GP and you will receive one of a random colour. Wear a Ring of Charos(a) and you are able to choose the colour kitten you want.
