Tactic:Zulrah cannot be teamed, so having enough supplies to kill him is a must. Zulrah changes his forms by diving into the swamp and then reappearing somewhere in the arena. Zulrah is red when he is using melee, green when he is using ranged, and turquoise when he is using magic. Zulrah attacks with all three combat styles, and the player cannot use melee attacks against him. It is recommended to use long ranged against him. He still uses ranged when he is in his magic form. It is recommended to use the prayer Protect from magic when he is in his magic form. Players can dodge his melee attacks by moving away from the position he is facing.
Notes:In addition to Zulrah's scales one will always receive two items from Zulrah's drop list. If a player dies duing a battle with Zulrah, the player can retrieve their items by speaking to Priestess Zul-Gwenwynig. If the player dies to Zulrah a second time without retrieving the first set of items, all the items from the first set will be lost completely.
