At the Ardougne Zoo, one of the zookeepers has become a bit preoccupied by penguins. In fact, he's downright paranoid about them. He needs your help to observe their habits on the iceberg in the Luna Sea.

What begins as a peaceful bird-watching expedition opens a new world of espionage and bad musicians.


Part 1:
Devious White Ones

Step 1
Talk to Larry, Ardougne Zoo.
Talk to Larry, Iceberg.
Build Bird Shelter & cover with snow.
Construct Penguin Suit.

Items needed: 10 Oak Planks, 10 Steel Nails, Spade, Silk, Normal Plank, Clockwork Mechanism (or Steel Bar), Hammer.

Talk to Larry in the Ardougne Zoo and he will tell you how he is suspicious of Penguins and wants to make a hideout. He tells you to meet him north of the entrance to Keldagrim, east of Rellekka. When you get there talk to Larry and he will transport you to the iceberg in his boat.

Once at the iceberg, speak to Larry who will instruct you to build a Bird Shelter. Use your oak planks on the snow patch to build the bird hide. Then use your spade on the snow patch to cover the bird hide with snow. Zybez RuneScape Help's Screenshot of the Snowhide Larry comes up with the idea of making a Penguin Suit. You'll need silk, a normal plank and a clockwork mechanism (made with a steel bar on your crafting bench). Go to your crafting bench and create your penguin suit with the above materials in your inventory. He will also give you a Clockwork Book, explaining how to build one. If you do not have the crafting bench built in your own POH, you can use a friend's one.

Part 2:
Under Cover

Step 2
Talk to Larry.
Right-click option: Tuxedo-time on Larry.
Solve the greeting.
Talk to Larry.

After making the clockwork penguin, go back to Larry and show him that you have completed it. After that he will ask that you return to the iceberg in order to test the clockwork penguin. Once you have returned to the iceberg with Larry, you will find the bird shelter has been destroyed. You will then suggest testing the clockwork penguin on the Penguins in the Ardougne Zoo. Larry will teleport you back to the Ardougne Zoo.

Talk to Larry and once you are finished, right-click him and use the option 'Tuxedo-time'. He will then transform you into a tiny person, and you will enter the clockwork penguin. If your hands aren't free or if your cape slot is occupied you will not be able to become a penguin. Now that you are a penguin, enter their cage. Once inside he will need you to do a greeting. The greeting varies player to player (Picture).

After correctly solving the greeting the Penguin will give you his mission report and tell you to meet with the Penguin Operatives in Lumbridge. After you are finished talking to the Penguin, leave the cage, and talk to Larry. He tells you that he will meet you in Lumbridge.

Step 3
Talk to Larry, sheep pen north of Lumbridge Castle.
Right-click option: Tuxedo-time on Larry.
Talk to Penguin Operatives.
Bribe Penguins (at Ardougne Zoo) for secret phrase.
Talk to Farmer Fred, just to the west.
Talk to Penguins for access to Penguin Outpost.

Items needed: Lumbridge Teleport Runes, Raw Cod or Ring of Charos (a).

Teleport to Lumbridge and go to the Penguins in the Lumbridge sheep pen north of the castle. Talk to Larry once more and then right-click him, choosing the option 'Tuxedo-time'. Go and talk to the Penguin Operatives inside of the sheep pen. They won't talk without the secret phrase. A phrase you must get from the Ardougne Penguins. Zybez RuneScape Help's Screenshot of Penguin Greeting Speak to Larry and he'll teleport you to the Ardougne Zoo. Transform back into a penguin and head into the cage again. If you have a ring of charos (a) equipped, you won't have to take the raw cod to bribe the Penguins. Otherwise, give them a raw cod for the secret phrase: "do not trust the walrus."

Go back to the Lumbridge Penguins and they will reluctantly talk but won't tell you where the Outpost is unless you investigate Farmer Fred for them. Turn back to a human and talk to Farmer Fred; keep talking and you will receive the information you need.

Go back to the Lumbridge Sheep-Penguins and you tell them Farmer Fred is harmless and it's the sheep they should be worried about. The Penguins will go along with it, they then tell you that the Penguin Outpost is on the iceberg you were coincidently at earlier, and the password is "cabbage". They will also give you another missing report.

Part 3:
Infiltrating The White Palace

Step 4
Talk to Larry.
Right-click option: Tuxedo-time on Larry.
Talk to KGP Agent.
Give swamp tar & 5 feathers to Noodle for his ID.
Talk to KGP Agent and enter outpost.
Go left, talk to KGP Agent.

Talk to Larry and he will take you back to the iceberg. Once at the iceberg, right-click Larry and use the option 'Tuxedo-time'. Once you are suited up as a penguin go north-west and talk to the KGP Agent (Picture), give him the correct greeting and password (cabbage). The KGP Agent will then ask you for identification, which you do not have.

Find the Penguin named Noodle located near the KGP Agent. Exchange your swamp tar and 5 feathers for his identification and mission report. Go back to the KGP Agent, he will view your identification and let you pass the avalanche.

Once you are inside the outpost, go forward, turn left and talk to another KGP agent who will take your missing reports. He will tell you that you must pass a physical test.

Step 5
Do agility course (see step).
At end, exit near Agility Penguin.
Talk to Larry.

Located to the left of the agent is an Agility course at which your physical test will take place. Once you have gone down the path, and entered the course you will see a short cut-scene of Penguins training. Head west to start the Agility course. The course's order is as follows:

  1. Swim past the crushers without being hit.
  2. Climb stepping stones and make your way to the top.
  3. Tread-softly under the arches of icicles.
  4. Cross the ice.
  5. You will see cut-scene where you slide down a hill, and cross the finish line.

Exit the Agility course through the gate near the Agility Penguin. Go back to Larry and you will tell him that you have discovered a Penguin Army. He will then tell you about a secret room deep within the iceberg, and that you need to gain access to the room.

Go back in the outpost and go straight on till you come to a gate. Talk to the KGP officer and ask if you can come through - he says you don't have a high enough authority. Go to the east room and talk to Ping or Pong who are in a room on the right. They will ask for a Cowbell and Bongos.

Step 6
Pickpocket Dairy Cow.
Make Bongo Drums (mahogany plank + soft leather).
Talk to Larry, at Iceberg.
Give cowbell & bongos to Ping and Pong.
Go through gate.
Go in eastern room.
Leave Ice Lords room, squeeze through crack and talk to Larry.

Teleport to Lumbridge and go to the cow pen. Pickpocket any dairy cow for a cowbell (Picture). Then kill a cow, pick up the hide and tan it into soft leather at Al-kharid. Get a mahogany plank and use it on the soft leather to create bongos.

Head back to Larry north of Keldagrim and then to the iceberg. Give your instruments to Ping and Pong, they will play you a tune and then the KGP agent will come and tell them to be quiet. Now head through the gate whilst he is distracted.

Go into the room to the east and you will be found out by Plotting Penguins. They will take your suit and put you in with Ice Lords (Level-51). All you have to do is open the door and get out. Then go through a crack to the east (Picture) and you will find yourself outside the outpost on the iceberg.

Go back to Larry and tell him what you saw, you will see a cut-scene and then he will give you your reward. He will also take your clockwork penguin.
