Once you've entered the Tree Gnome Stronghold and finished the The Grand Tree quest, just take the ladder down in the Grand Tree to reach an abundance of ores. To reach them, you'll need to push the vines that separate that part of the tunnel you'll be using. Once you are there you will find many rocks.
